Humphrey Matrix® 800 for early visual field loss detection

Visual Field test helps  doctor detect and monitor glaucoma. Usually, the visual field test is taken once a year but depending on the severity of your glaucoma, your doctor may decide to check your visual field more frequently.

A visual field test maps out what your world looks like to you. It measures the area of vision, or how wide of an area your eye can see. Glaucoma is often called “The Sneak Thief of Sight” because it usually is a painless process that mostly affects the peripheral, or side vision first.

The visual field shows changes that are not noticed by the patient until the damage is severe. Other diseases, such as cataract, stroke, macular degeneration and diabetes, can also influence the visual field.  Doctor will take these possible effects on your exam when interpreting the results.

3D OCT-1 MAESTRO

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging test. OCT uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your retina.

With OCT, your eye doctor can see each of the retina’s distinctive layers.  This allows your eye doctor to map and measure their thickness. These measurements help with diagnosis. They also provide treatment guidance for glaucoma and diseases of the retina. These retinal diseases include age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic eye disease.

Color Fundus Retinal Photography uses a fundus camera to record color images of the condition of the interior surface of the eye, in order to document the presence of disorders and monitor their change over time.

A fundus camera or retinal camera is a specialized low power microscope with an attached camera designed to photograph the interior surface of the eye, including the retina, retinal vasculature, optic disc, macula, and posterior pole (i.e. the fundus).

The retina is imaged to document conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, macular edema and retinal detachment.

Medmont Corneal Topographer E300

Corneal topography is an established and important technology for measuring the shape and power of the cornea. its topography is of critical importance in determining the quality of vision and corneal health.  It  allows practitioners not only to fit contact lenses to match the power and shape of the cornea, but it also helps them to evaluate intricacies of the contact lens relationship with the ocular surface.
